Dysfunctional Dinner table was a series of works made during Geraldine's first year at art school. These works were made to highlight and discuss her feelings of grief and the void of her dad at the dinner table. 

She created dinner sets from unusual, uncomfortable-to-use utensils and plates to highlight her discomfort when at the dinner table without her dad after he passed. She also experimented with the dinner table, using a mattress to emulate the table and deconstructed the traditional table by displaying it alongside its legs, the legs no longer supported the table top, but were still connected by wool.
