Olfactory Memories, 2017
Olfactory memories was a project for a hypothetical artwork that was proposed to be displayed in a hospital ward. Geraldine wanted to create artwork that would remind patients of their favourite memories, places or things through smell. Smell is the sense that triggers memories more than any other sense, so the sculptures would have each patients favourite smell to take them to a place of comfort, either the sculptures would have a scent or would be made to look like their scent.

She experimented with soaps; using clear wax to trap smells within the wax in a soap mould, carving the name of the scents into soap, making soap sculptures from clay and fusing the clay soap into glass.
